MAKING BROADMEADOWS SCHOOLS MORE INCLUSIVE:
Friday, 28 June 2019
The Andrews Government is helping make Dallas Brooks Community Primary School a more inclusive school for local students and families.
Frank McGuire, State MP for Broadmeadows, has announced that the Dallas Brooks Community Primary School in Dallas will receive $191,500 under the $20 million Inclusive Schools Fund.
The funding boost will go towards an all abilities outdoor playground.
“The all abilities outdoor playground will make a real difference to the students at Dallas Brooks Community School and I encourage other schools in the Broadmeadows electorate to come up with creative ideas about how they can be made accessible to everyone.”
The Victorian Government’s Inclusive Schools Fund helps government schools implement innovative projects that promote inclusive school environments. It helps schools better support the needs of children and young people with a disability, by providing funding to build school facilities.
The project is part of a $2.5 billion investment over three years to build the Education State, giving every student access to a great local school with a great education.
Victoria’s school building boom has delivered more than 1,000 school upgrades and 56 new school projects across the state, supporting almost 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
