Diversity is our strength:

The strength of Broadmeadows’ social and business community rests in its diversity.

This diversity is cultural and economic. With families and small business people drawn from 140 countries, Broadmeadows has evolved into virtually the ‘united nations’ in one neighbourhood. We also have a scale of business in our community: from the enduring and humble corner store to major manufacturing and new technology-driven service industries.

Our community is not without its challenges. Many families struggle with access to quality services, education and employment opportunities. These challenges are not insurmountable. Right across Broadmeadows there are examples of business – both small and large, the community, the philanthropic sector, and different tiers of government working together to bring change and create a smarter, healthier and sustainable community.

These partnerships and networks are the engine that will drive the future of Broadmeadows. Small business is critical to this future and to the social fabric of our community. It provides the jobs, and the opportunities that help make this area unique. I encourage everyone to support the businesses that support Broadmeadows.
