REVAMPED AQUATIC & LEISURE CENTRE BENEFITS REGION:
Broadmeadows MP, Frank McGuire together with Hume Council Mayor, Adem Atmaca have officially opened the redeveloped Broadmeadows Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
The Victorian Government contributed $3.7 million towards the $13.23 million redevelopment which includes a 50 metre indoor pool with 8 swimming lanes along with crèche facilities, refurbished change rooms, seating for 400 people and extra space in the upper floor gym.
Mr McGuire said the Hume City Council had worked hard during the past few years and had overcome many obstacles to deliver such a significant project.
“I have shared their vision and I am thrilled to see this redevelopment come to life”.
“It will provide a strong focal point for the community and a healthy lifestyle venue for people of all ages.”
